Reservations and booking requests
Hold items for dates without double-booking, let outsiders request through a share link, and hand over on the day.
Reserve an item
Choose Reserve an item, pick the item, From and Until, and How many for counted stock, then Reserve. You can also reserve from a kit, or with Reserve for later when handing something over.
ItemTally won’t let a unique item’s holds overlap each other or a current loan. For counted stock, holds must fit within what’s on hand across overlapping dates.
Book for yourself
Owners, admins and borrowers can book for themselves. Open an item, choose Book dates, and pick the days. The form says whether the item is free for the whole period (or why not) and keeps Book off when it isn’t. The item page lists its Bookings, and you can cancel your own. Editors can cancel any booking.
On the Items page, set Free between to your dates to see only what is free, then use the Book button in the item pane, which carries your dates (for example Book 20–22 Nov).
In a folder with approval on, a borrower’s booking of a single item becomes a request on Today for an editor to approve. Viewers can’t book.
Take booking requests
Share a folder read-only (Share this folder on Items). Each item on the shared page has a Request button. The requester gives their name, an optional email, dates and a note, and the request lands on Today. The form says whether the dates are free before they send, without showing who has the item, and a request for taken dates is refused. Approve creates a real hold and adds them as a person; Decline can include a reason.
Hand over on the day
Schedule shows today’s holds with Hand over. A unique item becomes a loan due when the hold ends; counted stock goes out to the person. Switch Schedule between Agenda, Week and Month.
