Events & production crews
Count the truck before it leaves. No signal required.
Kit spread across a venue, a warehouse and three trucks - counted where it actually sits, even when there isn’t a single bar of signal.
Sound familiar?
The kit is split across a venue, a warehouse and three trucks, and the counts happen in loading bays with no signal at all. One missing cable isn’t a shrug - it’s a show problem, discovered at the worst possible moment.

What does the work here
Four things a crew leans on.
Scan & offline
Counts happen in loading bays and back corridors with zero signal. ItemTally records every scan locally and adds them up when you reconnect - never last-one-wins.
How it works →Counts & alerts
Load-out completeness at a glance. Know the truck is whole before it leaves, because a missing cable is a show problem, not an inconvenience.
How it works →The Logbook
Which crate went to which show, and who had it - a record that survives a three-truck, two-venue week.
How it works →Mobile app
The whole register in the hand of every crew member, on the cheap phone they already carry. No laptop on the dock.
How it works →No purchase orders, no invoices, no client billing - that’s fine. ItemTally makes sure the truck is complete and the crate is accounted for. Quote and invoice the show wherever you already do; let ItemTally own the count. Here’s exactly what we will and won’t build →
Honest answers
The questions this crew asks.
How does the truck pack-out work?
Kits and transfers: the stage box, the cable trunk and the FOH rack are kits that move to the truck folder in one recorded action each. At the venue, everything is where the register says - and scan-to-find settles arguments.
The venue has no signal. Now what?
Nothing changes. The phone app scans, counts and adjusts fully offline and syncs itself when you're back on coverage - it's on every plan, including free, because basements and festival fields are where events actually happen.
Half our crew are freelancers without logins.
People in ItemTally don't need accounts. Hand gear to any name with a due date and a thumb signature; send a possession-check link at strike and they confirm from their own phone - no app install, no password.
How do we reconcile after the event?
Run a count against the truck or the warehouse when it lands. The sheet shows expected vs counted, the variances point at the movements that explain them, and the whole reconciliation is an hour instead of a weekend.
